Here are some suggestions I have for decorating with a Hobbit theme...
First if I may start with colors, I see soft yet warm colors. For example how about a soft sunny yellow room with red accents like pillows, vases, or red picture frames. Not any red but more of a deep warm red almost a rust but not too much so. In addition to that I see some wooden accessories like trunks and stools, bookcases all with wood tones. I would also add some white accents like window trim and perhaps some flowing curtains in a lighter but NOT sheer fabric. Some kind of soft cotton or textured fabric, maybe a tone on tone but nothing fancy. More of a soft country feel to it.
On COE there is a couple of pics that a woman posted with what I think is an awesome hobbit room! You really should check it out! She has used this cool window self sticking stuff to create a faux stained glass look. I love it! I know my local Home Depot sells something like that and if I get the opportunity will be applying that in my home at some point too.

Greetings, GG! First hantanyel for marking yourself as a follower on my blog! :)
I love your hobbit room comments here. I am trying to make my bedroom as such. I had bought some green wallpaper for the green of the Shire, though it would work for Elves too, but I think I may take it down because I doubt Frodo and Bilbo had green on their walls. I was thinking of getting some cream colored sheets too instead of the green I bought because I think that's the color they would have used. I have white curtains but they are sheer ones. I also bought a wastebasket and a toilet paper holder that I thought would work in nicely too and I painted my desk a nice brown. I already have bookcases of course. I love your ideas for trunks. I hope soon to find a walking stick that I can put in the corner and perhaps a pipe, though I wouldn't use it! Thanks for all your ideas! Do you have a link you could send for the COE site that the woman had of a hobbit room?
Namarie, God bless, Anne Marie :)
I have found that a lot of things from the 17th to the 18th century really "fits" into this theme, a good place to find clothes and that pipe you are looking for is at www.jamestownsendandson.com
