This is my dream, my passion to recreate the more beautiful parts of Tolkien's world into my own...To merge what I see with what I do not see, to have a blending of his world with mine...To be able finally to walk in the land I have so longed dreamed of...Come walk with me as we make this journey together...

Arwen's Last Stand Painting

Here is one of my interpretations of Arwen's last days in Lothlorien. It is winter physically and also the winter of her life. Aragorn was gone, the elves were gone, her life was really just a series of memories. She could not go home to her family, she had made that choice long ago. Now she had made the choice that it was time to pass from this world. She returns to the place she had so many happy memories with her Grandmother and maybe even her mother as well. The place she first met her true love Aragorn. Now all is forlorn here, it doesn't resemble much the place it was during Galadriel's time. And yet there is a connection here for her. She brings her trusty sword Hadafang as protection. She meanders around and recalls her good times here and elsewhere before laying down to sleep....That is what I wanted to convey in this painting. Not sure I suceeded or not but that was the goal. I hope you enjoy and are able to ponder as well. It is an oil painting with some acrylic on top for the blowing wind with the snow in it. Also the sword is in acrylic. The painting measures 16x20 inches proper and is unframed but is on the canvas that doesn't need framing depending on the new owners preference. I do hope to sell this somewhere....Any takers? Make an offer... I have a modest number in my head, others have said I could do really well in the right location. I'd be thrilled to get something for it. I don't plan on keeping it, so go ahead, if it strikes you make me an offer!

Hannon le,

P.S. I don't have a professional photographer so the pic's don't do full justice. Its much richer and more purple in the background than shows, here it looks more grey but its actually a purple/grey background.
