This is my dream, my passion to recreate the more beautiful parts of Tolkien's world into my own...To merge what I see with what I do not see, to have a blending of his world with mine...To be able finally to walk in the land I have so longed dreamed of...Come walk with me as we make this journey together...

Obtaining Galadriels Pitcher

Was just thinking about this for those of you who aren't able to locate one. Have you tried thrift stores especially in "small towns" Silver doesn't seem to be in fad like it was years ago unless your rich judging by the "expensive" stores in our "old town" downtown...But know the ones our Grams used to own are still out there somewhere. Have you tried ebay? What about Craig's List? Try asking relatives and friends. Most people don't enjoy silver anymore (my guess anyways) because it tarnishes and is VERY hard in my experience to get shiny again. Mine is getting to that position and not sure what I am going to do about it! Must find a solution though.

With that last thought there came another one...What about getting a cheap plastic one if you can find that like a Walmart in the spring/summer season. Or even a nice ceramic one thats inexpensive and spray painting it with a really silver metalic paint. Don't gag! I'm sure at least one of you out there is...Give it some thought seriously. HOW close is anyone going to really look at it in your flet? Most people will say "oh lovely pitcher" and then move on...They most likely aren't going to go over, get a nail and scratch it to see if its real or not! If they do escort them to the door and politely tell them not to ever come back! If you practice with spray paint you will learn that you need to do nice even strokes back and forth to get the "no run" look that you want. It CAN be done! If your worried befriend one of the nice guys at the Home Depot paint department and then ask them to do it for you!

One last idea on possible source of a pitcher: Pier One Imports. If you don't have one close then PLEASE for the sake of ME look them up online! They have some beautiful and unusual items year round. You can search the site by item. If you don't see it now keep checking back especially during season changes and holidays. Spring is a great time to find such things. And also think mentioned this before, know I did, Seventh Avenue.Com. Love that place! Have the most unique things and have sister sites that link from their site with more unique things...Prices aren't too bad on some things. I have gotten some elven things on a payment plan and you can too!

Peace mellon's
